Greetings N.J.E.S. Families,
I am excited to welcome our students and staff back to school to begin the new year. Our custodians have been working hard to make our school shine, and our teachers are busily working this week to be ready to kick off a new year of learning.
We have several upcoming events:
Meet the Teacher on August 11th from 4:00 PM – 6 PM
First Day of School for 1st – 5th Grades, August 18, 2025
Kindergarten Orientation- August 18, 2025. Look for a message from your child’s Kindergarten teacher to know when to come in for the one an hour orientation.
Pre-K Home Visits, August 18 –22, 2025.

Every year we ask parents to update their emergency information and complete paper permission forms. This year we are going digital! We will send out a link through Thrillshare. Electronic documents will save you time as you will not have to write your child’s information on each form. Paper copies will be available. Let your child’s teacher know that you prefer the paper format, and we will send a packet home.
We will kick off the year with our school-wide S.T.A.R.S. expectations. North Jefferson Elementary students are Safe, Team-Players, Accountable, Respectful and when we put these traits together, we are Successful! We will be building our classroom and school communities while teaching routines and procedures that help us achieve success.
We look forward to seeing you on August 11th at Meet the Teacher Night and at Parent Engagement events throughout the school year!
