I hope this news find you in great health, hopes and successes heading your way from the start of 2025! Everyone at SES has missed these walls filled with giggles, smiles, successes and pride for the past few weeks, and we are very excited to start 2nd semester and do what it takes to ensure our students are ready for their next steps to progressing. SES families are special, especially in regards to supporting the staff and all students with your participation in monthly events, volunteering, chaperoning, attending meetings, showing up to read to our young students, or by giving your time and attention to your children and their progress/difficulties their teacher communicates. For all you gave and supported us in 2024 - I thank you and I look forward to even more opportunities ahead to collaborate and share in our children's education.
2nd semester is filled to the brim with monitoring grade level standards, fun, and opportunities for families to be involved in ensuring students come to school every day rested, healthy, and excited. I shared new photos and information at our December S.E.A. meeting about our new school building that we are all very anxious to get inside of and build strong foundations from moving forward. If you had the chance to view Ranson's new building, then you have seen what we all have to look forward to receiving in 2025! Every month at S.E.A, you can receive the newest information about our building and transitioning into it, and I look forward to seeing more and more families investing in this opportunity to come together.
Please be looking this month for a survey coming home electronically for you to have a voice in your opinion related to the conditions for learning in our school. This information is very insightful in our understanding of communication and implementing changes or continuing successful practices. This month you will also have the opportunity to visit your child's teacher at our final PT conference on January 23rd from 5-7:00 p.m.
As winter approaches, we remind families to stay prepared for weather-related schedule changes. In the event of delays, closures, or early dismissals, decisions are made with safety in mind and shared through the JCS website, Facebook page, app notifications, local media, and text alerts. The first five snow days are built into the calendar, with remote learning for days 6-10, and potential makeup days for more than 10. Be sure your family has a plan for delays or early dismissals, and ensure students are dressed warmly for the weather. For more information, visit the JCS Delays and Closings page.
Thank you for all you do to continually support SES from the children to the processes that help our school run so smoothly!
Respectfully,
Mrs. Payne
